oh another monday--mondays are hard for everyone

no one wants to get up--only Carolina goes to school

so of course we ALL needed a nap by lunchtime--LUCKILY grandma&papo's present came in the mail, so I had something good to bribe them with!

so after nap-they could open their gift (grandma&papo always send fun things)

Feb. 18

today after school--we went out to pick up a present for a upcoming birthday--I went thinking I was getting a $20 gift card--I was not going to get them anything--but my daughter says "but mom remember that you said we had to wait for Boogies" (this was the last time we went to the mall) and my son says "please mom, you will make my heart happy"

SOOOO $77 dollars and an hour later we were finally on our way :D

Today My son's class had a field trip to Dion's Pizza--he got to bring his sister--they toured the back and helped make a pizza---

today was Boogies Valentine's Day party--I couldn't make it, because Carolina was sick & I had to stay home with him.

So daddy went with him--I got to share with him all his goodies when he got home!!

Feb. 15

We went shopping (yet again for the stupid TV stand)--while we were out, Carolina found this treehouse bunkbed. She cried that she couldn't have it (which BTW it was only $1200)

She even called her grandma--she asked if she could have all of her birthday & christmas money now--I said 'even if you could, you are not getting that much all together'

the kids had school today--and Carolina had her Valentine Day's party in her class--

we spent the evening making V-day party gift bags--they kids starting writing their names on their V-day cards BUT I ended up finishing it

The kids went outside to try to 'build' a tire swing--the imagination of these kids MAKE me smile

of course i love their attire, shorts, jackets, gloves and cowboy boots--

today we went to eat @ Applebee's--the kids were SO good & ate very well, I sprang for the desserts--here are my babies being silly

wanted to feed them, before we went to the bday party--Mickey & Minnie Mouse were there--only Carolina would take a picture with them.

today the kids played outside (it was pretty) after school---since daddy was on call, we made pancakes.....I burned the first few (or more :D)---but as my daughter said "mom they are getting better" :D

they didn't turn out so badmuch better huh?

today Carolina was really excited for her field trip today. Her preschool class was invited to go to the State Capitol in Santa Fe, NM. for their legistive meeting.

However with last night's snow--Santa Fe was mostly all closed. She was super sad--I didn't get any pictures--

today i realized that my weekend was really, really busy & I am updating 4 days of Project 365.

Today i had a Scentsy party, so I missed the kids first time ice skating. They had a birthday party to go to & they LOVED it.

They want to go ice skating tomorrow--so maybe!!

today, only Carolina had school, so me & boogies took Vixen & Blitzen to their first vet appt. $300 later, they had all their shots & such....since the puppies had to stay for a few hours, me & B got some Starbucks (he got chocolate milk)--I love their oatmeal there...so coffee & oatmeal makes me happy.

I know that this is A picture of the day, but I had to share this picture of what I found. Yesterday we did some collages, and I didn't realize that Carolina had actually finished hers. They said they just wanted to cut (not paste them)---well I go to her room & I found her collage on her wall. She is all girl, she has makeup, jewelry & such on hers!! She is just too much some days :D

Wednesdays! I am not a big fan of them--my kids have no school & its cold outside (my kiddos are outside kids)...so we have to stay indoors. We do projects, watch movies, etc.

Well as they got really bored--I finally gave in & let them outside to play on their trampoline.

They love that thing!!! I love the fact that they have winter jackets on (but my daughter has on a dress, lol)----

My son does jump--I just couldn't get a photo of them jumping @ the same time :D

it seems far away & yet feels just yesterday--that my babies were just babies. But they are growing up & today I was told how great my daughter was. I rec'd a phone call from her preschool teacher, who wanted to talk to me about an incident that happened on Monday.

Of course I was thinking 'uh oh' & Mrs. Estala says "it is a good thing"---whew, exhale!!

Mrs. Estala, proceeded to tell me that during class, she was reaching for something and her back cracked/popped (etc,something) & she immediately was in pain. Of course she was trying to stay calm & not cry (for the kid's sake).

Anyways, my daughter asks her if she was ok? Mrs Estala said no, she needed help (from next door classroom)--she said my daughter ran over (no further instruction needed) & got the neighbor classroom teacher.

After that, Mrs Estala said Carolina would not leave her side, continuing to ask her if she was "ok" & "if she needed anything".

I was a proud mommy--and of course, we have raised our kids to help others, especially their grammy & papo. You may know my folks are not in the best of health, so when they are with them on vacation, etc. We have taught them to care for them & how to get help if something was to happen to grammy & papo. I guessed they have paid attention.

So as I looked for a picture to go with today's post,(because of course I have not charged my camera) I found this one. And I think WOW how she has grown, and she has always been a little mother hen. (her & her brother, 2005)

today was a fun filled day. We made pretzels (that santa brought to us). most of the work was done by Jeff and me. But boogies & carolina loved to roll the pretzels out...but the dough was getting tough. But overall the pretzels were awesome. Thanks Santa!!!
Then we played a new game from Santa (from Christmas). Called Saucer Scramble, it was so much fun. Again the picture was taken with my cell phone, so its really blurry.

today is Wednesday and the kids have no school today. So we picked up our friend, Faith (whose car was in the shop) and we went to have breakfast at Flying Star (yummy)

then we did some craft shopping...and then we went to the movies. We saw Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs!!!!

What a great day! Lots of fun. The kids (and us) loved the movie and ALL the popcorn :D
